Comparing Quilted Motifs
Linda Baumgarten, Curator of Textiles and Costumes at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia created the traced image graphic which a student cross-dissolved with images of the quilts to show the quilted design.
A student worker created this animation showing how just by rotating the same log cabin design unit and paying attention to the division between dark and light values one can create several different patterns.
